Creative Tools for
Character Building

At Fundashon Awenyo, our third line of action brings together curriculum development, storytelling, positive learning activities and games, as well as musical and audio-visual creativity to support transformative education.
We design learning materials that nurture character, awaken purpose, and enrich moral education and spiritual development. These include original stories for children and junior youth, the writing and producing of musical pieces and songs, guided learning activities and team building games, creative multimedia production and, as well as educator toolkits and thematic units that can be used across classrooms, learning centers, youth programs, and within families.

Each resource we develop is meant to inspire and spark meaningful conversations, encourage moral enrichment, and strengthen positive habits and qualities that help young people flourish in a changing world where multimedia and social media are more often contributing to values and character at odds with the kind of unified, harmonious world we all long for.

Extending Resources for Empowerment

This line of action reinforces and extends the work carried out through our Youth Empowerment and Teacher Capacity-Building programs.
As we accompany teachers, schools, and families, the materials we develop offer accessible ways to deepen the themes explored in those programs—supporting educators, animators, and parents in building continuity between training, classroom practice, and daily life. By designing resources that are practical and inspiring, we create bridges between what is learned in a workshop or youth group and the ongoing moral development of children and adolescents.

At the same time, this line of action allows Awenyo to contribute far more broadly than what is possible through direct programming alone.
Through open-access materials, collaborative partnerships, and creative media that can travel widely, we aspire to serve schools, educators, and families across Curaçao and beyond. The goal is not only to strengthen the communities we work with directly, but also to uplift countless others by offering high-quality, values-based educational content that can be adapted and used in diverse contexts. In this way, our curriculum and media development becomes a channel for wide-reaching service—extending the spirit of empowerment to as many children and youth as possible.

Thematic Focus

The learning materials we create are not separate from our other lines of action—they are an essential extension of them.
As we work with youth animators, teachers, and schools across Curaçao, these resources reinforce and deepen the themes explored in our capacity-building programs. They help ensure that the ideas introduced in youth groups or teacher trainings continue to grow in classrooms, homes, and community spaces. By offering familiar, integrated content, educators and families can strengthen continuity and help create unified learning environments for children and adolescents.

At the same time, this line of action allows us to reach far beyond the individuals and schools we accompany directly.
By making our materials widely accessible, we aim to support a much broader audience—schools looking to enrich their moral education programs, families seeking purposeful content for their children, youth groups and learning centers seeking tools to guide meaningful conversations. Through this expanded reach, our creative work becomes a vehicle for service that uplifts countless others and contributes to the moral and spiritual development of young people throughout the island and beyond.

Collaboration and Open Access to Resources for All

By creating open-access materials and partnering with schools, organizations, and families, we aspire to contribute to a much wider movement of moral and transformative education.
While our direct work with youth groups and teachers creates deep, personal change, this line of action enables us to support many others who may never interact with Awenyo directly. We believe that high-quality, purpose-driven educational content should be accessible to all who seek to nurture the character, creativity, and capacity of children and youth.

Through collaborations, resource-sharing, and ongoing creative development, we aim to uplift and empower educators, parents, and learning communities throughout Curaçao and beyond.
These materials serve as tools for schools strengthening their values-based curricula, for families seeking meaningful content for their children, and for youth leaders guiding constructive conversations. In offering these resources freely and generously, we hope to contribute to a more unified educational landscape—one that places moral purpose, human nobility, and community-building at its heart.
